Michael Eugene Haney

Our dear special Mike left us unexpectedly on October 23, 2017. Our lives were forever changed as we say goodbye on this unforgettable tragic day.  Mike will stay forever in our hearts and grace our thoughts for all time.

Michael loved all things that took him outdoors; camping, fishing, and lots of get together BBQ’s. His favorite pastime and hobby is coin collecting, which he took very seriously.  Mike is the joker of the family and the biggest kid we had.  He loved playing around and having fun with his many nieces, nephews, and grandkids, who Mike adored and loved with all his heart, and they him.

Mike worked hard his whole life and unselfishly took care of his family. He took nothing for granted.  We will miss you and our love for you is deep.  Rest well, Mike, for we will see you again.

Mike is survived by his forever sweetheart, wife, Susan; his mother, Lois Haney; daughters, Jamie (Jody) Card, Rachelle (Doug) McDowell, Kristina (Joe) Brewer, Jennifer (Mike) Larsen, Annie Lister (Matt); and his son, Jacob M. Haney; sisters, Vickie (Kelly, deceased) Nostrom, Jeanette (Arlynn) Talbot; Denise, deceased (Dennis Erickson), Patricia (Lynn) Thomas; Susan (Neil) Taylor, Karen (Gary) Tuckett, Janette (Doug) Painter, Sherri Houtz; and his brother, Warren Larsen. He also leaves behind 15 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Lombardi Haney, and his father, George Francis Haney; his sisters, Connie and Georgia Haney, and Denise Erickson; his brother-in-law, Kelly Nostrom; his son, Billy Joe; his daughter, Pepper Love Haney; and infant daughter, Georgia Lynn Haney.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Palmyra Stake Center Chapel, 505 East 900 North, Spanish Fork, Utah. Family and friends may visit at the church on Friday evening, October 27, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and on Saturday morning at the church from 11:45 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. prior to services.  Interment will be in the Spanish Fork City Cemetery.

“HelloMike!” was always my greeting to good ol’ Mike H.
He’s truly a great person whose personality and skills set him apart from the average guy. So easy to talk with and joke around with. I’ll sorely miss my dear brother (in-law).
So many fantastic memories! It’s difficult to pinpoint one by itself. Love you, Mike!
