Joseph Neil Searle

Our loving husband, father, son, grandfather, uncle passed away on November 25, 2017 at his home in Hanna, Utah surrounded by his loving family. Joseph was born on April 8, 1937 in Mona, Utah to Lamar Daniels Searle and Laura Alice Searle. He attended and graduated from Payson High school in 1955. He married Betty Thompson and had three children; later divorced. He then married his wife Verna Jean Hackford on January 9, 1983 in Elko, Nevada.

On December 6, 1960 Joseph proudly served two years with the US Army. He had a great love for his country. Joseph worked as a steel worker for Geneva Steel for 31 years and loved his job.

He had many hobbies but his true passion was for horse racing. He was a family man who loved to spend time making special memories with all his loved ones. Joseph had seven children and many grandchildren that he loved and adored.

He is survived by his wife Verna Searle, children, David (Barbara) Searle, Brent (Tina) Searle, Scott (Jeannie) Searle, Gerald (Michelle) Searle, Trudy DePriest, Bowdy (Kylie) Searle, Sister, Alieen Holt, brother, Glen (DeeAnn) Searle and many grandchildren.

Joseph is proceded in death by his daughter Shelly Searle; 2 sisters, Mildred Jackson, Dorothy Koyle; brother, Dee Searle.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Walker Funeral Home 187 South Main Street, Spanish Fork, Utah. Friends and family may visit from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to the service.
