Jeanine G. Carter

On August 4, 2017 our sweet wife, mother, grandmother and friend, Jeanine G. Carter passed away at the age of 86 surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 26, 1930 in Eureka, Utah to Darrell Garity and Ada Goodall Garity.

She married her sweetheart of 67 years, Bill Carter on June 24, 1950.  Together they raised 4 boys. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple. Jeanine loved spending time with her husband and family. Together they enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping and boating. She also loved to cook. Her family always looked  forward to  special occasions so they could enjoy her breads and rolls. Jeanine was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed serving other in various church calling. She was a dedicated employee of Payson /Mountain View Hospital for over 25 years and continued serving as a pink lady for many more years. Despite health issues the last few years,  she remained positive and was an example to her family and taught them the true meaning of enduring to the end.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Darrell and Ada Garity, two brothers, Richard and Garth Garity, a son and daughter in law, Randy and Connie Carter and a granddaughter, Kimberly Jeanine Carter.

Jeanine is survived by her husband, Bill, three sons, Jeff (Pat) of Santaquin, Clair (Cindy) and Marc (Chris) of Payson, 16 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Wednesday August 9, at 11 AM at the West Mountain 2nd Ward chapel, 902 West 400 North, Payson, Utah. A visitation will be held Tuesday, August 8, 2017 from 6-8 PM at Walker Funeral Home, 587 South 100 West Payson Utah. There will also be a visitation prior to services from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. The family would like to thank all of the health care providers who have assisted in her care along with a special thanks to Kori Verwer and Amy Boswell for their compassionate service.
