Dorothy S. Lundell

Our angel mother, Dorothy Jean Schwartz Lundell, age 89, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 8, 2018 surrounded by her family. She was born on June 30, 1928 in Spanish Fork Utah, the daughter of Eugene James Schwartz and Sarah Ellen Koyle Schwartz. She married Clyde J. Lundell on January 24, 1950 in the Salt Lake City L.D.S. Temple. He passed away on November 1, 2000. Dorothy was educated in Spanish Fork schools and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She developed a strong testimony of the gospel early in life and loved to study its teachings. She also loved serving the Primary children, Young Women, and Relief Society sisters.

She adored her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. We’ll miss her cheerfulness, musical ability, and sense of fun. She continually looked at the positive side of life and was an inspiration to those around her. She loved to play the piano and accompany her husband, Clyde, as he sang. Their beautiful music touched many lives.

Dorothy is survived by her children, David Lundell, Diane (Larry) Tucker, Brian (Betty) Lundell, Brent Lundell, Doreen (Melvin) Barney, 22 grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her two brothers, Kenneth, and Bob (Donna) Schwartz.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, husband, her daughter, Carla Jean, two grandsons, Tyler Lundell and Steven Lundell, a granddaughter, Kaitlyn Barney, and a sister-in-law, Helen (Kenneth) Schwartz.

Funeral services will be Saturday, January 13, 2018, 11 a.m. at the Palmyra LDS Chapel, 1866 West 5000 South, Palmyra, Utah. Family and friends may call from 9:45-10:45 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Spanish Fork City Cemetery
