Donald Lee Peterson

Donald Lee Peterson, our loving husband, father, and grandfather, of Spanish Fork, Utah passed away Thursday, June 15, 2017 in Provo, Utah.  Donald was born April 28, 1937 to Charles and Mary Ellen Peterson.

Donald married Nancy Evans and they are the parents of four children.  His family was everything to him.  He was devoted to them and he loved to get the family together whenever he could.  He prided himself in being the best husband, father, and grandfather imaginable.

Donald served in the Air Force when he was younger.  He then started his own mechanic shop “Peterson Automotive” in Spanish Fork.  He then started a long career in driving truck.  He later worked at Geneva Steel.  He loved to hunt, fish, and loved riding his motorcycle with his children and brother in Moab.  He loved car shows and especially loved entering his panel truck.  He most loved his family and his puppy “Tippy.”

Donald is survived by his: children, Debbie Peterson Ainge, Spanish Fork, Utah; Jeffery Scott Peterson, Springville, Utah; John (Coob) Charles Peterson, Provo, Utah; and Mary Ruth  (Paul) Curtis, Spanish Fork, Utah.  He also leaves behind eleven granchildren, Chasidy Ann Ainge, Jennifer Lynn Ainge Celaya, Ruben Celaya, Brady Lee Ainge Tiffany Ainge; Madison Slader, Trevor Slader, Avarie Peterson; Jordan Peterson, Jacob RE Ledesma, Annie Santa Cruz Ledesma; and fourteen great grandchildren, Dante Jackson, Alisha Jackson, Dominick Jackson, Fransisco Ugarte, Ruben Celaya, Marteen Ugarte, Isabella Celaya, Alma Ugarte, Mikey Ugarte, Ellie Ugarte, Emma Curtis, Zowie Curits, Braxton Curtis, Adison Slader, and Linda Slader.  He is survived by his siblings: Allen, Wayne, Mike, and Gloria. Donald is also survived by his beloved dog, Tippy.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Evans Peterson; his parents Charles and Mary Ellen Peterson; his brother Wendell; and his sister Marian.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 12 Noon at Walker Funeral Home, 187 S. Main Street, Spanish Fork, Utah.  Family and friends may call at the mortuary on Saturday prior to services from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m.  Interment will be in the Spanish Fork City Cemetery. Military rites will be performed by the American Legion.
