Christy Lynn Gill Riddel

 

Christy Lynn Gill Riddel, 64, of Spanish Fork, Utah passed away, Thursday, August 3, 2017. She was born September 24, 1952 in Lynnwood, California to George Wayne and Andrea Phelps Gill.  Christy grew up in Layton, Utah and was a 1970 graduate of Layton High School. She received a music scholarship to Weber State College where she met her husband, Martin Clayton Riddel.

Marty and Christy were married on April 23, 1970 and they are the parents of two sons, Wayne Martin and Clayton B. Riddel. Christy loved to spend time with her family and she was their greatest supporter.  Blessed with a love for others, Christy loved to socialize.  She was an excellent cook, enjoyed reading, and was an exceptional homemaker.  Christy was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She is survived by her husband, Martin; sons, Wayne (Cheryl) Riddel of Spanish Fork, and Clayton (Krista), of Herriman; 3 grandchildren, Braxton, Kaden, and Shaylee; 6 bonus grandchildren, and 9 bonus great grandchildren. Christy had a special love of children and her grandchildren were extra special to her.  She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Luana and Linda.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Aspen Meadows 2nd Ward Chapel, 1167 South 1700 East, Spanish Fork, Utah.  Family and friends may visit prior to services at the church from 9:45-10:45 a.m.  Interment will be in the Spanish Fork City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
