Beverly Hanks Bearnson

Beverly Hanks Bearnson, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 14, 2017 in St. George, Utah. Beverly was born May 7, 1930 in Salem, Utah to Joseph Emmett and Bernice Wilson Hanks.  She graduated from Spanish Fork High School in 1946.

She married Robert Leifson Bearnson on June 1, 1949 in Spanish Fork, Utah. They were later sealed in the Manti Utah Temple.  She is the mother of three children, Gary, Brad, and Brenda.  Her family was her treasure and her highest priority.  She loved deeply and was loved deeply.

A member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Beverly served in the young women’s program and in many other capacities. She was a woman of faith and served her family and friends passionately.

She is survived by her husband, Robert; children, Brad H. Bearnson (Logan), and Brenda Fage (St. George). She had six grandchildren: Kasie, Sara, Braden, Taya, Tessa and Alex.  She had12 great-grandchildren.   She is also survived by her brother, Dwight Hanks.  Beverly was preceded in death by her son, Gary Robert Bearnson; her parents, Joseph and Bernice Hanks; brothers, Joseph Hanks, Jr., and Bryce Hanks; as well as her sister, Priscilla Seamons.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 19, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Lone Pine Ward, 989 South 2550 East, Spanish Fork, Utah. Family and friends may visit on Friday morning from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to the service.  Interment will follow at the Spanish Fork City Cemetery.

    I will miss Aunt Bev!!! She was and always be my momma away from home. Her & my Uncle Bert took us under their wings while we went to school. My children all love them dearly.
