Ariel Jo Bishop

This picture shows a smiling young women. The first sign that she died long before nature intended. Unfortunately, our “Air Bear” lost her valiant battle against drug addiction.

Ariel Jo Bishop, loving daughter, sister, granddaughter, wife, stepmom and friend passed away April 17, 2017 at her home in Salem, Utah. Ariel was born April 2, 1991 to Bart J. Bishop and Brandie Hooley in Provo, Utah. She attended schools in Spanish Fork, Payson and then later Provo College. She married Tony D. Walters on October 24, 2015.

Ariel will be remembered for her unconditional love for those she was close to. She had a loving way of impacting those around her, in a positive and caring manner. She loved the color yellow because of the sunshine it brought into her heart and life. She was happiest when she was surrounded by little children and her family. Her life could not be saved for the Lord had bigger plans for her.

Ariel is survived by her father: Bart J. Bishop; mother: Brandie Hooley; Stepfather: Bret Hooley; brothers: Bowden J. Bishop and Hayden Duane Oliver. She was preceded in death by Grandfathers: Douglas J. Bishop and Alan Carling; Grandmothers: Janet Jo Rushton and Vivian Walters.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 21, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in the Knoll Park Ward Chapel, 160 South 460 West, Salem, Utah where friends may call from 10:45 to 12:45 p.m. Burial will be in the Spanish Fork City Cemetery.

    I have 2 nieces who passed away from drugs,, and1 more who took his own life, and another niece by car accident. I only say this to let you know that grief comes to all. And it hurts so bad! My own family has had enough tragedy to last 100 lifetimes, they just keep coming! This precious girl of yours reminds me very much of ours! We will miss their loveliness and beauty… and as hard as it is we must trust that one who loves her more than us is sending blessings fast….you’re not alone! You’re not alone! She will always be near to you in a very real way! You’ll smell her perfume or hear her laughter, in hard times you’ll feel her comforting influence. I don’t know you but I feel like I do. We are all brothers and sisters sharing a mortal experience. You are in my prayers and thoughts. I will pray that you will find comfort in each other’s affections and love
